At MCAM Northwest, our sales team members are dedicated problem-solvers, connectors, and champions for our customers. Let’s introduce you to the team and show you how their diverse backgrounds and passions contribute to their work.

Garrett: Problem Solver Extraordinaire

Garrett has been part of the MCAM Northwest team since June 2015, and his role goes beyond traditional sales. “I look for problems,” he explains. Whether he’s calling up new shops to see if they’re facing programming challenges or helping current customers get the most out of their software, Garrett’s goal is to ensure everyone benefits from their investment. For Garrett, the most rewarding moments come when he can make a significant difference in a customer’s workflow.
He’s seen firsthand how Mastercam can help transform businesses—from a shop that took the leap to invest in a 3-axis machine and eventually scaled up to 5-axis and Swiss, to a business that shifted from manual machining to automated processes.
With a varied background that even includes a stint at a pawn shop, Garrett brings unique insights to his work. Outside of the office, he enjoys surfing, tackling home projects, and recently rekindled his love for mountain biking. His advice to anyone considering a career in manufacturing? “Go for it! There’s so much opportunity and a demand for skilled, reliable people who are eager to learn.”

Kyle: Bringing a Passion for Technology to Manufacturing Sales

Kyle is the newest member of our team. Although fresh to MCAM Northwest, he’s already diving into the world of machining with enthusiasm. Coming from a background in aviation finance and the postal service, Kyle has always been interested in technology, particularly 3D printing and DIY projects.
A lifelong fan of the 49ers, he dreamed of being a wide receiver, but today he brings that drive to the world of manufacturing. “The coolest thing I’ve learned so far is how machine simulation works in Mastercam,” he shares. Kyle’s advice for those considering manufacturing as a career is simple but important: “Never stop learning. There’s always something new to discover.”

John: Dedicated Support Specialist and Sales Engineer

John wears many hats at MCAM Northwest, from training and video production to technical support. Before joining the team, he spent almost a decade in machine shops, where he worked on everything from computer components to heavy equipment parts. His journey into manufacturing began in high school, where he took machine shop classes as a backup plan to his dream of being a rockstar. After a chance encounter at Clackamas Community College, he found his way to MCAM Northwest and hasn’t looked back since.

Outside of work, he enjoys riding his motorcycle and gaming on his PC. His advice for those considering manufacturing? “Embrace new challenges, take every opportunity, and never shy away from learning something new.”
